WAR AND SUFFERING

War has plagued our planet centuries, and although we have everything we need to live as brothers and sisters  in this wonderful world,  we complicate matters by discriminating against other’s beliefs, ethnic groupings, and basic differences.  This leads to children being separated from their mothers and causes family conflict. 

We all understand that human life is valuable.   Then why do we fail to give this value to each other? If we truly value life, then we have to accept that the death caused by war is an illness on this planet. Our humanity gives us the ability to offer tenderness and to be responsible towards others.   Millions of people were killed in the first and second world wars without purpose.  Hundreds of families were forced to live with pain and heartache.  Millions of people still die because of war.  And thousand of innocent children are either killed or forced to live with hunger or starvation  before they even have the chance to play games because of these senseless wars.  Would they want to brought into this world which adults have turned into hell if they only knew?  This blood-shed must stop, and we must return to our humanity!

Our country still lives with the pain of war and disaster.  Even in the present day we still experince sorrow due to various reasons including ethnic conflict. We lived like brothers for ages, but now there is racial and ethnic discrimination.   This terrible situation bothers me like every member of our beautiful country.  It is our duty as responsible people to do our best to prevent war and come together as brother and sisters.

On this website you may find brief statistical information regarding various wars.  It is essential that we don’t forget these wars that caused so much suffering and deprivation.  We are constantly updating this information.

GAZA (Palestine)

The conflict in Gaza started in 2009, in which Israel and Gaza have both suffered tremendously.  Thousands of  blameless women and children have lost their lives under the violence of war. It is time for all goverments to unite against this barbaric fighting. Its not enough for us to simply be members of the audience. It is possible for us to help.  With just a small donation, we can make a big difference to help those that are suffering. It is our duty to act sensiblşy and responsibly, and to show compassion.  We owe it to our humanity.

PEARL HARBOUR (America)

It was a suprise attack on the Pacific Z fleet and on the Pearl Harbour military base, which was standing on Oahu Island in Hawaian Islands, on the morning of the 8th of December 1941.  The aim of the attack was to prevent probable American military interference.  After the attack, 12 American war ships was damaged seriously and were sunk, many war planes were destroyed, all of which caused the  death of 2403 American soldiers and 68 civilians.

HIROSHIMA (Japan)

The atom bombs that were released onto Hiroshima on the 6th of August 1945 and onto Nagasaki on the 9th of August, caused the death of more than one thousand people.  This is accepted as one of  the most disastorous events in the world.

VIETNAM.

This war was involved the Vietnam Democratic Republic (North Vietnam), which had agreements with Eastern Block countries including the Soviet Union and China, and the Vietnam Republic (South Vietnam), and America with it’s capitalist associates.  American associations were involved in the war from 1965 to 1973, and lost 53,200 soldiers.  The ‘Vietnam War’ was long and murderous.  According to the Hanoi goverment, the war which lasted 21 years caused the death of 4 million civilians and more than one million communist soldiers. According to American statistics, between 200 and 250 thousand Vietnam soldiers and 53 thousand American soldiers died or went missing.

IRAQ

This war began with the enterance of American military power in Iraq.  Thus far, this horrible war has resulted in 700 thousand civilian deaths, as well as many soldiers who have lost their lives. 

In all these wars, many innocent and helpless women and children have been victims.

BOSNIAN WAR

This war lasted from the 6th of April 1992 until the 14th of September 1995.  According to information from the International Comittee of the Red Cross, durning those 3 years, 312 thousand people lost their lives, and nearly 2 million people had to flee from their country. In this recent war a total of around 200 thousand people died either in combat or as a result of systematic genocide, right in front of the world’s eyes. Since the end of the war, it is specified that 1666 people were victims of bomb explosions.

TWIN TOWERS

In the USA on the 11th of September 2001 about 3000  innocent people died in the attack on the Twin Towers.
